How popular Mr Urban is in NZ?

Sorry for this crazy question but as I was speaking with some NZ friends met through the internet (on a forum) I just mentionned LOTR and "this kiwi actor, Karl actor" and all said they didn't know him.
Well as I do not live in NZ I can't say but I was wondering how popular in his own country Mr Urban is ?
I assume he's not the super star of course but is he well known or known enough ?

So apparently our favourite Kiwi will be attending the next Scream Awards which will air on October 27 starting at 10:00 p.m. EST, on the Spike channel. I'm guessing he will be presenting an award but it's not clear... Anyway, I think I'll subscribe to that channel temporarily (I can have it only for a month if I want to) just to get a chance to see Karl.

I was over at a website called "FanWiki" and when I went to Karl's page, there were movie titles in his filmography that I had never seen before. I thought I knew every title of every movie he's ever been in but maybe I was wrong... But then again, this website can be edited by anyone so it is possible that the person who did the list had the wrong information. Lou, Deb, any idea what these movies are and if Karl's been in them? Or maybe they're television shows?...

I LOVE Amazon! Heh---I went there to buy Comanche Moon, which did happen (for only $4.50 plus $3 shipping!), but...couldn't quite bring myself to stop there (after all, we're talkin' about KARL, baby!!), so I also got Ghost Ship for a dollar (can't wait to watch the grungy/delicious Munder in action, I've heard so much about him), and The Truth About Demons for 2 bucks. Thought I was done there, but nooooooo--I just had to get my very own A!E too! (He was only $5) So,...

Well I think I've got all mixed up!
Is Mr Urban from Auclkland or Wellington ?
I looked on a map and these 2 cities are not really that close... well I mean New Zealand should be at least twice as big as France (I assume).
But I read somewhere he was from Wellington and then i found some words he was at Auckland so I do not understand anything.
Well nothing important by the way but I wonder somehow whether my english is as good as I would like to wish it is.....

The Wellingtonian has a brief mention of Karl in an article for the 100th birthday of the Kelburn Scouts:

I was wondering, watching some pictures of him, about Mr. Urban's wearing style.
Of course I saw him wearing suits (at Premiere eg) but also casual clothes.
Well I should say I can look very elegant in both, sometimes, depending on his choice (some are not well fitting on him).
And I saw him several times wearing a strappy sweater with grey and green stripes, ouch that was weird and made him look like he was from the 70's...
Well how do you prefer him anyway,...

I have a big thing about loving actors who not necessarily speak a million different languages, but can play a variety of characters because of how believable they are as a foreigner.

Now does Karl speak Russian, or did they teach him a few sentences for his role in The Bourne Supremacy? His dad is German right...and I think I saw a youtube video of him speaking German, so does he speak German fluently?

Weird and random questions I know. But how cool would it be if Karl...
