Great pics everyone. Big advantage being a big closer than the majority of us. Re the way he looks, I find it fascinating that he looks so different in the
films he does and I guess he needs a night off being totally drop-dead-gorgeous when he's out with the Mrs.

just fyi, the telethon for 'kidscan' is gearing up here and karl has been on all the ads looking cute as a button to promote it, so looking forward to
that of course, but get this:
tonight as i was finishing the washing up from dinner, my 10yr old boy saunters into the kitchen and says to me, very cazh: 'i think karl urban did the weather tonight on the news,' and of course i shrieked like a schoolgirl something along the lines of, 'why didn't you say something!', ran into the lounge in a mad rush to see if it was still on tv (it wasn't, of course), tripped over some toy on the floor and fell face-first into the carpet, banging my knee hard and i got a wicked carpet burn on my palm to boot. of course the boy thought this was absolutely hilarious and laughed hysterically for about 10 minutes, adding insult to injury! (insert very grumpy expression here :-( ) i'm still not sure if it was karl who did a guest stint as the weatherman but hopefully i'll find out (knowing you lot you'll know before me anyway!) |

i probably would have reacted the same way to that news leah. i always ma ke a ninny of myself over karl. there has never been anyone that makes me sooo
excited , i never have met the guy !! i mean i saw him and that was it , so strange. this is a feeling i can't help. oh , what to do !! oh i hope your knee
is better . thanks for your story. i can relate. plus it made me laugh.

sorry to take so long to reply i've been flat out. the knee is ok now, thanks for asking necro and cinnamon (to be honest the carpet burn was worse, what
is it about bloody carpet burns and paper cuts that make them worse than actually doing a damage to a limb?!), and i still don't know if it was karl on the
weather!
but, the telethon - with karl as one of the celeb hosts - is on this saturday on TV3 at 7 PM, so i'm sure some content will be available on their website soon enough! (can't say i'll be able to watch the whole thing but i'll definitely check out mr. gorgeous on the box) |

i put my faith in seeing the telethon at urbanites . i know i know i won't see it here in n.c. leah, i agree carpet burns are terrible. i have only gotten
one or two , but hey , at least you got yours over karl , i got mine over a ex boyfriend.

bally, i've been waiting for TEVO to arrive here so i've resisted getting a dvd recorder, but it's been put off and put off for what seems like
YEARS (prob not actually that long but it seems like it) so the short answer is no, damn it!!! no dvd recorder or TEVO :-(

hahahaha, yeah, been seeing Karl and the awesome Robyn Malcolm for the last two weeks advertising this telethon that will hit Kiwi screens tomorrow night.
I wish with all my heart that I could record it for y'all, but my technology doesn't stretch that far. Kia ora, haere mai Hopefully something goes on youtube for you lovely ladies. I'll report back on what I'm awake for if it involves Karl, otherwise, I'll be engaged in front of the box.

I've had one too many wines right now and planning a 7am ride (CRAZY!!) with our beloved Cheeky horse in the morning, but hopefully our Karl will make an appearance on the tellython Saturday night and not just be a ploy as to the ads to get people watching. I'm pleased so many of the fabulous Outrageous Fortune actors have been involved. It's tbe best show on Kiwi screens! Also, I can't believe that there's another tellython coming up! |

But I was just in there in April seeing the wonderful Lucinda Williams LIVE. Amazing gig, but not as awesome as Ryan Adams at the Powerstation in February. But I'm just biased that way. Auckland. Cool city. I'm living 3.5 hours drive away right now. Looking for work 40 mins south from there for 2010.

Yep, I'm in little Whakatane for now. Am unsure what to do next year. Been a huge move for me and the Cheeky man from Christchurch, but it's only my
first year in the real world post Korea/university. Might do another year here. I have two horses now (I'm collecting them) and need to find the right
school to teach at. Plus I'm still planning for Japan 2011.
Telethon. Seriously. Been since the early 1990's in NZ. Can't believe they're doing it again! |
