Hehehe, NO i NOT a satellite HO, (slang for WHORE mais oui) but I been trying to find the movie Via Satellite. Amazon.com doesn't have it, neither does dvd planet. A regular search engine turned up the review on IMDwhat-ever-that-movie-actor-site-is but not where I could purchase it. Anybody know where I can find it?

Good golly miss molly! $40 for a vhs tape? They must be on drugs. I'm afraid I have no leads of purchasing a region 1 copy of this movie. I do not believe one exists.

There used to be a place in town that converted tapes to other formats for a fee. I'm not sure how much call there is for that now. The place I'm thinking of closed down.

I know this thread is kinda old...but does anyone knows a good source who still sells the Via Satellite dvd (I understand it's R4 Pal...but my dvd player reads them!!!) and that would ship it to Canada??!!

It's a good movie. I really like Karl's performance in it. But the family in it reminds me TOO MUCH of my own. But at least in THAT way, I found the story to be TOTALLY real and believeable!

Sounds great hon.... I forgot to bitch about his. It turns out that our DVD Player will not play Region 4 DVD's, not will our DVD drive on the PC or Mario's PS2 that has been chiped! So I still haven't had a chance to see it yet...
on the brighter side... our old DVD player finally died.. so now I have an excuse to buy a new Region Free DVD player, but need to find one that will still play VHS too, that's the toughy! Still looking forward to Satellite!!! Urbanite #32- Keeper of Ghost's amazing back & shoulders |

Just in case some of you weren't aware there are about 20+ DVD's for sale on ebay all for under 25 dollars that includes shipping! Anyway i thought i would just share that. it kinda sucks for me though because they are all region 4 copies and i dont thinks my DVD player will play that. dammit!!

We're lucky here in Australia in that all DVD players are region free. Lothiriel - I hope you finally got to view Via Satellite.
 I was in our local JB HIFI store a couple of months ago and LO and BEHOLD, Via Satellite was on the shelf so I grabbed it for the price of $14!!  I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!! |

Hey, watched (finally!) Via Satellite on the weekend. I liked, but so far it's Karl's movie I liked less (yeah, yeah, I watched The Irrefutable Truth
about Demons and others as that). That family kinda annoyed me and I confess I couldn't get exactly what's the reason for all the fuss Chrissy was
doing.
On the other hand, the best scenes where between Paul (Karl) and Chrissy (Danielle). Not only because of Karl, but because they were the only part of the story that got my attention. The rest was so..blah. And all that comic relief was annoying (yes, I don't like comedies in general). But I liked the end though. When things became more serious the story was better and I could be happy at the end. *** I won't forgive Paul for not accepting Chrissy's attempt to has him in her pants :-( |
