I really like Neil's style of writing. This is the first book of is that I've read and now that I've read this book, I plan on reading some more of his.
This story focuses on a boy whose family has been murdered. He, by chance, happens to escape as a toddler, up the street to the nearby, deserted cemetery. Once there, he is adopted by the inhabitants of the cemetery. I won't give away too much more but just to say that of course, his upbringing is unusual, but it's also quite unique and the ties that bind a living family also apply here.
It was a unique story, written in an easy to read style but was captivating and hard to put down. Had it not been for the Christmas stuff going on, my health problems, dealing with said health problems and the snow and ice, etc. I'd of finished this book much sooner than I had.

REALLY! Even when during lessons of British or American Literature at my studies I'm given a
text longer than one page long to read (which is usually at least 8 pages long
) I sit in a class and before I begin to read it I take about 5-10 minutes of silent sitting, doing nothing but screaming inside my head. Later I'm
pissed on and I read the text. Somehow I tend to read all of it.

HILARIOUS!
