This can't be true!!!! The European Premiere is scheduled for Berlin for April 16... and Karl is gonna be there.... and it is the last day of my
Scotland-Vacation!!! I think I'm gonna cry (I already checked the prices for flying back early, and they are pretty hefty... but perhaps I will do it
nonetheless. Gods, this can't be true!!!!!!

I think I'm going to do something even more drastic... I'll postpone my vacation (planned and booked since December!) to summer. It'll cost me some money, but it would still be cheaper not to fly now and get a new flight in summer (when there will be a better chance of decent weather anyway) instead of forking out an additional € 80,-- for shortening my 10-day vacation by 2 days. I was just really looking forward to that vacation (and needing it, too), but I can all too well imagine how I would sit in Glasgow on the evening of April
16th, 12 hours before I fly home, and think: "Gosh, what a stupid time to be away from home!" One's got to have priorities! |

Can you believe that making this decision has messed me up so much that I'm unable to sleep right now (it's 3 am!)?! I'll be a wreck later at work! Still, I think it really is the decision I needed to make. I'd not be able to enjoy Scotland the way it should be enjoyed otherwise; I'd constantly think about my messed-up timing. |

That's what I was th inking, your holiday wouldn't be as good knowing that.

Okay, I just cancelled everything (except for the flight, which I already paid) and feel really torn. On one hand, I could just cry because I was really
looking forward to that holiday, and on the other hand , I look forward to the 16th - and pray that Karl will really be there. It would suck BIG TIME if he did
not attend now.
Damn, it's hard to be addicted!

Hard to be addicted, yes. But think of it this way, at least you've met him and are
probably going to see and meet him again. I'm really happy for you for all of that. Lou and Bally, too, for doing so in Sydney.
I will probably never get to meet the guy, but I guess that is okay. I know someone who did and she was petrified and now, she's not really into him. Sure, I've met other "famous" people before, but I was not as big of a fan as I am of Karl. So who knows? I may end up making a fool of myself. I'll just consider myself to be content to read your guys' stories and see piccies. Better than nothing!

Well, but on the World and European premiere, I would think, it should be written in his contract that he has to attend. Such things as promotional activities
are usually covered - unless he gets sick, of course. *mentally sends a package of vitamin pills to Karl*
@Anita: You're right, I shouldn't have any right to complain, even if it didn't work out this time. I'm fully aware of how lucky I was in this regard. Still, there are some things in this world you can't get enough of, right? 
What happened to your friend when she met him? Why was it so awkward?

I got my ticket!!! Yeah!!! Wheeehew!!! Still, I'm probably not going to see the movie because I'll concentrate on taking photos at the red carpet, but
I can wait for 3 weeks longer. But I'm looking forward to the party!!!!
