Found this from yahoo.com:
Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy: DeForest Kelley's McCoy in the original "Trek" served as Kirk's conscience and an emotional foil to Spock's cold logic. As the new McCoy, Karl Urban retains his curmudgeonly yet caring demeanor, shares a scene revealing where the nickname "Bones" came from and gets to utter some of the doc's classic lines, including "Are you out of your Vulcan mind?" and "I'm a doctor, not a physicist." But Urban's favorite line was something fresh. "It was, `Space is full of disease and danger, wrapped in darkness and silence,'" Urban said. "To me, that encapsulates McCoy's perspective in a nutshell, and it has such a wonderful alliteration about it." I'm so glad to see all the positive reviews.
I don't know about anyone else but quite a few people have been sending me "Star Trekkin' Across the Universe" and "The Captain Picard Rap" as gags. One by one the penguins steal my sanity... |

WOW! My review is Star Trek is Re-born! The young actors all do justice to their original counterparts and bringing a fresh perspective to the characters. Karl
looked scrumptious as usual. I loved Loved LOVED it!!!!!

one drawback of all these good/great reviews, the inevitable backlash has begun and loudmouth 'talkbackers' and 'bloggers' all over the place
are trashing 'trek', labelling it stupid and shallow and mindless and noisy and poorly written-and-directed fluff. i fully expected this would happen -
backlash for a blockbuster crowdpleaser so well reviewed that dares to defy trek 'canon' was inevitable - i just hope it doesnt hurt box office and
hurt the cause for a sequel, which i really don't think will happen but it sort of bums me out nonetheless.

Yeah, Leah, it was a matter of time...kind of like the tall poppy syndrome. It makes me laugh and I'm reminded of the video The Onion did -
Trekkies Bash New Star Trek Film As 'Fun, Watchable'.
