**Hugs to all who need them**

I had a little karma justice today. There's a lady in a dark green Lincoln car in town who likes to speed through the street signs. The town is so small there's only one real street light and all the rest are four way stops. On one corner is the elementry school and a house. On the other is the police station and post office.

The lady blows right through the stop sign going at least thirty to forty mph. She's almost squished me a few times in the past. I was wearing my glasses and was close enough to see that she didn't even look for people. I was able to get a part of a license plate and a good description of the car. I walked across the street and turned the info over to the police who were happy to recieve it.

Methinks they're going to want to talk to her.

Sometimes people are so freaking clueless. For a while now I've been wanting to leave town and start out on my own as best I could. Right now with the recession I've been staying at home because I can't seem to get much of a job other than being a babysitter.

Yesterday Mom was diagnosed with having leukemia. It doesn't run in the family so it's believed to be work related. The doctor is very confident since it was caught in the beginning stages it'll be easily treated and Mom will be back on her feet very quickly. This lady knows what she's doing. She's got more degrees than I've got fingers.

Some knucklehead demanded to know why I didn't leave town. Figuring this person didn't know I politely explained the situation. My response was a blank stare followed by "So??"

Umm...I'm sorry but unless your parents were the parents from hell you don't go abandoning your own mother in her time of need!

Thankfully Mom's going into it with a positive attitude. Her first words to the doctor were "What do we need to do to beat this?"

My second rant is about the election. I worked the CA special election and I'm getting roughly $130 for it. It beats a kick in the ass.

During that time it was a rather slow day and I started illustrating to kill time. I had an old print of a British suffragist and started illustrating it. The lady in the foreground is my character though.

While illustrating this man looked over my shoulder and made this comment of "You're just some feminist bitch aren't you?"

I did have a response for that but it probaby would've picked a fight so I kept it to myself.

Thankfully before he or I could say anything the manager told him to get out and to not treat me in such a way. It's nice to see some folks still have their spines.
