While we appreciate all Urbbies looking out for us, openly announcing the age of an underaged poster focuses the wrong kind of attention on them. We don't wish to put anyone under 18 in danger of online predation, so if you suspect or know of anyone who's underaged, don't publicly post this infomation. Refrain from any behaviour that might be construed to be badgering or berating of said person. Just contact an Admin via PM or email and they will handle it from there.

No teenie/net speak. Typing as if it's an SMS/text message or posts like "OMG KARL IZ ssOO Hottz n KEWLz!!11 Dun U think soO?!" are just bloody annoying. If you're not posting to actually start or participate in a discussion, but simply to anger another member or group of members, you will be warned and then banned for trolling. Posting in order to bait other users, will not be tolerated. Also, DO NOT POST WITH YOUR CAPS LOCK ON! This is considered to be "shouting" and the vast majority of Urbies find it incredibly annoying, so most of us will simply skip your post without bothering to read it. Also, it's a good idea to preview your posts before you hit the "Add Reply" button. That way you can proof read what you've written to make sure it makes sense and correct any major spelling errors etc.

"Flaming" is not permitted here. Heated disagreement is not the same as attacking someone. We're people of varied opinions, and will naturally disagree at times. However, anyone who engages in personal attacks like racial, ethnic, religious, and sexual slurs will be banned immediately without warning. Profanity is fine but anyone who abuses this by spamming or attacking another poster will be banned.
It is inevitable that in a community, people will get on each other's nerves. However, if you are deliberately nasty or rude to anyone for any reason, you will be given either a public or private warning.
Personal attacks are not required to make your various points, unless your point is to make a personal attack....in which case, you can go make it somewhere else. There will be no exceptions made for any posters and the Admins reserve all rights to decide when and where this rule will be enforced.
Problems with moderation or complaints about fellow posters are to be handled off-board, either by a private PM or e-mail to the Admins. Complaints about moderation or fellow Urbbies are not to be posted in any threads, under any circumstances. Contact any Admin with a link to the thread in which you feel you were treated unfairly and we'll deal with it from there.

No bashing or bad mouthing of Karl and his family will be tolerated. Please keep all discussions respectful and civil at all times. Karl's family is off limits to ANY form of disrespect. This includes dropping any innuendo or claiming to have close personal/professional connections to Karl or his family. PM the Admins first and back up your claims regarding his personal life with solid proof.

Do not post on Urbanites with the intention of pretending to be Karl Urban, Over the past few years, fans from various sites have mentioned they have been emailed, PMed and IMed by people claiming to be Karl. The Administrators of Urbanites will view any such claims with cynicism. Unless proven otherwise, all doppelgangers will be banned. Also, do not post on Urbanites expecting to see Karl posting here. It's doubtful Karl goes to fan sites to post or contact people. If you have received an email/message from anyone claiming to be Karl Urban, please take it with a grain of salt...and never give out your personal information.

Please note that the Urban Eye Candy and Urban Graffiti forums are for Urbanites members only and are therefore restricted. To gain access, you must have at least 30 posts on Urbanites. Once you have reached this, please contact Ballyorn or Necromancer1000 who will provide access

There's no restriction on linking to non-PG sites containing adult fanart, fiction etc. So do go ahead and share what you've discovered. Just no porn or hate sites obviously, and please try to place a Not Work Safe warning in your post title.
